Working Together for Change (New Gunvor) About the Project
Improving Networth Ubderserved Actors (INUA/HILT IV Project)
The main goal of this project is to support 12,500 entrepreneurs, 80% of whom are women, to establish 8,750 businesses and create 11,376 jobs, thereby increasing income while promoting systematic change in gender equality and inclusion in the Singida and Manyara Regions of Tanzania.
The project is planned to run for 41months, from July 19, 2023 to December 31, 2026. This project will provide evidence that when communities are empowered with entrepreneurial skills by establishing and strengthening their businesses, gaining access to credit and working together in groups such as cooperatives or producer groups it can help increase their income and ultimately improve their livelihoods.
The Future Entrepreneurs (Future Entr)
The main goal of the project is to reach 900 form three students in government secondary schools across Manyara Region in Northern Tanzania by providing them with training in entrepreneurship, business, financial management, climate resilience and ICT. These students will be supported to initiate projects and activities that can generate sustainable income within their communities.
This is a five-year project, running from September 2024 to September 2029. The project will demonstrate that introducing and providing entrepreneurship skills to young people during their school years will help them tackle the global unemployment challenge. By acquiring competitive skills in the job market and creating employment opportunities within and beyond their communities, students will be better prepared rather than waiting to complete their studies and only begin learning about business if they fail to find employment.
